Good Afternoon!
The kids and I are furiously cleaning and straightening up things as we get ready for my folks to come tomorrow. They are already in Illinois, back in Effingham visiting with my Aunt (my Dad's sister). They will be here sometime tomorrow. :o)
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Isaiah 59:15-21 ~ God teaches us about spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-20). He uses the same armor; Christ wore the helmet of salvation that saves us (17).
Notice in verse 17 that Christ also wore the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation. God knows how to protect His own - with the armor He has given us. The promise in verse 21 is so comforting - the Spirit and God's Word will not depart from us!
God is with us every step of the way - no matter what we are going through or what we encounter along the way. God is good ALL the time - All the time God IS good!
Have a great Friday evening!

Thursday, March 29th - Psalm 3
Good Evening!
Have you had a good day? I have gotten quite a bit accomplished today and feel good! My back is a little tired, but all in all, it has been a productive day! My folks are coming in Saturday and so I am cleaning the house for them! :o) It will be fun to have them here for a week and to celebrate Nathaniel's birthday together next Thursday!
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 3 ~ God is your shield (Ephesians 6:16) from your enemies and from the schemes that Satan tries to distract and destroy you with.
God protects us! He protect His own! "From the Lord comes deliverance." Psalm 3:8a He cares about each one of us! He sent His Son to die on a cross for us!
I read a tweet from Max Lucado this morning: "While His killers slept and followers wept, Jesus stood up from the slab of death and stepped out into the Easter morning sunrise."
Isn't that the greatest picture! Jesus walking out of the tomb into the sunrise! Wow!
Take up your shield and fight the good fight!

Wednesday, March 28th - Romans 10:13-15
Good Morning!
It was a little chillier than the last few mornings have been. I let the puppy out and she didn't want to go out! The wind was blowing and it was cooler! She is so spoiled! I am going to work today and then I am taking Thursday and Friday off! Spring Break! Yeah!
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Romans 10:13-15 ~ Gospel of peace and truth: Faith in Jesus gives eternal life and the ability to live with power. Are you ready to tell others?
We used this passage of Scripture when we were raising support to go to the mission field - my parents and our family! Three great questions: 1. How can they call on someone they have not believed in? 2. How can they believe in one of whom they have not heard? 3. And how can they hear without someone to preach to them? 4. How can they preach unless they are sent?
I went with my family and watched my Mom and Dad share the Good News and then I went on my own and shared the Good News through teaching, through music and drama, through coaching, and working with women in Bible Studies. My heart still beats strong for the mission field and I will probably return someday to the foreign field, but only if God so leads. I am happy where He has me now - working with GEMS and other things.
Are you willing to share the Good News wherever you may be? Please share it with everyone you meet. You may be the only Jesus they see!
Have a great day!
Love and prayers!

Tuesday, March 27th - 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11
Good Morning!
I hope this finds you well and ready to face the day. Remember, with God, all things are possible. He is with us every step of the day and provides everything that we need. It is going to be a great day!
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11 ~ As a "child of light", put on faith and love as a breastplate to protect your heart so you are able to love fully and freely.
"We are children of light and of the day and do not belong to the night or darkness." (1 Thess 5:5) We are to protect ourselves with the breastplate of faith and love and be self-controlled. We need to share with others His love. Did you see in verse 9 where it says that God appointed us to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ! Verse 10 is the promise I live day to day: "He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him." Hallelujah! Eternal life!
In verse 11, we find a charge that we need to continually do until He returns to take us Home: "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." This is so important to each of us. We need to be there for our sisters and our brothers - our family. Let us continue to encourage and build up our family and friends. Share the love that God has given and shown us. Shine for Him!
I would challenge each of you today to encourage one or two others through a conversation, text message, email or phone call. Make a difference in some one's life today!
Love y'all!

Monday, March 26th - 2 Corinthians 6:4-10
Good Evening!
Sorry I am later today with the Blog. It was a busy day, but a good day! I got to talk to my sister for a few minutes, as she celebrated her birthday today! She is 18 months younger than me! :o) It was great to chat for a bit and catch up on things.
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 2 Corinthians 6:4-10 ~ Being a Christian does not mean life is easy. Belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14) = "truthful speech". Let God's truth guide all you do today.
We are called to live a life for Christ and He did not say it would be easy! We have brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world that are dying because of their Christian life. We may face the same things in the future. Are you ready?
This passage tells of the hardships of Paul, but really of all Christians. Paul endured much - hardships, distresses, beatings, imprisonments, riots, hard work, sleepless nights, hunger, and much more. But with truthful speech, the Holy Spirit and sincere love, he endured and survived to continue to spread the Good News! We can and will too!!!
Have a great evening!

Sunday, March 25th - James 4:7-10
Good Afternoon!
What an absolutely gorgeous day! Spring is starting off pretty good! I love being outside with the kids and enjoying God's beautiful creation! How about you?
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: James 4:7-10 ~ Humbly admit you need God! He'll open your eyes to Satan's schemes and strengthen you to resist and flee! God will lift you up!
Verse 7 and 8 are really key to this passage: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you." Did you notice the action words? We have to take action - submit, resist, come near... In verse 10 the action continues: "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." What a promise from God - He will lift us up!
He is with us all the way - every step - every hour of every day! Thank you God for being with me at all times! I will always live for You!
Have a great afternoon!

Saturday, March 24th - 1 Peter 5:6-11
Good Morning!
How are you spending your day today? I am running errands and then playing some wiffle ball with some friends and then having a sleep over at a friend's house. Full day!
Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Peter 5:6-11 ~ The devil constantly wants to distract and destroy you. Be alert; God will make you strong! Humbly live under God's mighty care.
Have you read this passage? There is a lot of action that we need to take and God will answer with restoration and make us strong, firm and steadfast. Look at the action words: Humble yourselves - Cast all your anxiety on Him - Be self-controlled and alert - Resist the devil - Stand firm!
God's mighty hand will lift us up! He will make us strong! God cares for us!
What better way to live our lives than to continue to humble ourselves before the Almighty God and live for Him! There is nothing better!
I can't wait to kneel before His Throne and express my love and gratitude for His tender loving care and for the sacrifice that He made so that I might live with Him forever! Thank you God for giving Your Son - Thank you Jesus for paying the price and giving Your life so that I might have eternal life with You in Heaven - and thank you Holy Spirit for being my Guide as I live lift this side of Heaven.
Praise to God the Father - God the Son - God the Holy Spirit!
Blessings!
