Wednesday, May 22nd - Proverbs 2:1-22

Good Morning!

It is a little damp outside this morning, but a beautiful morning just the same!  Hump day as we used to call it - the middle of the week - on the down hill slide to the weekend after today!  I am looking forward to the weekend, but rejoicing in today!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 2:1-22 ~ God grants wisdom, insight & understanding to those who call out for it.  He guards and protects those whose way is blameless.

Hasn't our study of Proverbs been enlightening?  I have enjoyed digging deeper and learning from His Word and from the insight God gave Lisa as she taught each week.  I have to admit I was excited when she said she already has the theme for the fall and it's going to be great.  God will develop and refine that theme during the summer and we will be in for a great season of refreshment and learning in the fall!  Praise the Lord!!!

The second chapter of Proverbs offers so much!  Wisdom - understanding - insight - knowledge - the fear of the Lord!  It is greater than any silver and/or any treasure.   With them we have victory and He is our shield.  He protects and guards the way of His faithful ones.  What promises and assurance we are given!

How is your time with the Lord going on a daily basis?  Have you continued to ask for wisdom?  As we have read and learned from His Word, God grants wisdom, insight and understanding to those who ask.

Have a great day and stay dry!

Tuesday, May 21st - Hebrews 13:5-6

Good Evening!

I really enjoyed GEMS tonight as I sat and listened to each of the ladies speak about their experiences and how they have grown and how God has blessed.  Glory up!  (as Lisa would say)  It is such an honor to walk along side y'all and to pour into you as God leads and blesses!  It has been a great year and we look forward to the fall when we all come back together again.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Hebrews 13:5-6 ~ Love God more than stuff because God will never leave you...money, on the other hand, seems to love to run from you  :)

God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us.  HE always keeps His promises and never forfeits on them.  Memorize these two verses:  "...God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'  So we say with confidence. 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me?'" Heb. 13:5b-6

Can you say those words in confidence?  Do you believe them?  He IS with us every step of our journey and HE will never leave us.  It might get bumpy sometimes and even rocky, but He will carry us through.  He has promised!

Have a great rest of the evening and a good night's rest.
Love and prayers,
Cheri Lynn

Monday, May 20th - Proverbs 8:6-11

Good Morning!

Happy Monday!  My kids are excited as this is the last week of school.  The all their summer activities begin!  I have a busy day too, but not as much fun as school!  (smile)

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 8:10-11 ~ If you want more of God, you have to get more of God.  Spending time with God = choice.  'Spend' your time to gain God's wisdom

After yesterday's sermon I want even more of God.  I want to spend more time with Him and hide His Word in my heart!  As Lisa wrote, it is a choice!  Do you have the time to spend in His Word?  I am a morning person and so I get up a little earlier so that I can have that time before the kids get up.  Maybe you aren't a morning person and would rather spend time in the late afternoon or the evening.
Spending time with God brings contentment, clarity, joy and wisdom.  Those are just a few words that describe spending time with our Creator and our Lord and Savior.  I am sure you will find great rewards by spending a little more time with Him.

Read verse 11 and think about it.  Will you take the challenge this week?  Spend fifteen minutes alone with God and His Word every day.  See what a difference it can make.  Let me know how it's going!

Have a marvelous Monday!
Love and prayers,

Sunday, May 19th - Philippians 4:10-13

Good Evening!

I apologize for being late with the blog today, but it has been a very full day.  It has also been a very emotional day on many different levels.  I absolutely loved the services at Eastview today and Mike's message and the invitation at the end.  I was in tears most of that time, but not tears of sadness, but of humbleness and pride in what a great family I belong to and how we want to and do help each other through prayer and action!  It is AWESOME!!!!!

How was your day?  It was an absolutely beautiful day even with the temps in the high 80's.  As I received tweets about the tornadoes in Oklahoma, my heart went out to those affected and I have been praying for them.  Our family reaches across state lines and across international borders.  Remember each one as God brings them to mind.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Philippians 4:10-13 ~ Do you have in your mind that you can't be content in your present circumstances?  It's possible.  #throughHisStrength

I absolutely love this passage of scripture.  I had always been drawn to verse 13 until a while back and then read verses 10 through 12.  Wow!  Were my eyes opened and I began to think about what it said and how Paul was really content in any and all situations.  If He could do it with the Lord's strength, then so can I!!
I have seen this in the last month or so and I KNOW that He is with me and that I can lean on His strength.  I have been blessed beyond my wildest imagination and continue to see HIS Hand in everything.  I have come to realize that His Plans are much bigger than mine and that He orchestrates every little detail until it comes to fruition.  He doesn't usually stop there either, but continues to guide and lead and bless!  Wow!  "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

I would challenge you to memorize all four of these verses and not just verse 13.  You probably already know that one.  (smile)  Give it a try - be content in every situation, not necessarily happy, but content and see what a difference it will make in your attitude and your daily encounters with others.  Try it for a day and then two and then a week.

Have a great week!  Be content!  (smile)
Love and prayers!

Saturday, May 18th - Proverbs 10:19-27

Good Morning!

Another beautiful day in store for us!  There is a lot happening this weekend and especially today with graduations, open houses for the graduates, weddings and much more.  It is my prayer that each event will be filled with joy, thanksgiving and love as they are celebrated.  God is good ALL the time - ALL the time God is good!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 10:22 ~ GOD's blessing makes life rich; nothing we can do can improve on God.  In other words, there's nothing better than God.  #dowegetit?

These few verses are full of little nuggets of instruction and of love - God's love.  Have you noticed how the tongue and lips are discussed throughout the Bible.  God has warned us and told us what happens and how to overcome, but we still get in trouble with what we say.  We need to use our tongue and lips to encourage, build up, praise, speak wisdom and blessings, and most of all to sing His praises!

As you read 27a, "The fear of the Lord adds length to life..." what do you think?  I think eternity!  My life here on earth is good and full as I walk with the Lord, but eternity with Him - there are no words to describe.

The Lord blesses our actions and our contentment.  How we live each day is the foundation to how we feel - content!  Encourage one another and let the words from your lips build up and not tear down.  Honor Him!

Have a super Saturday!
Love and prayers!

Friday, May 17th - Proverbs 15:16

Happy Friday!

We have made it through the week and I know there are lots of seniors that are rejoicing that they have completed the year and reached a significant milestone.  Whether it be high school, college, grad school or whatever - it is quite the accomplishment.  I remember those special milestones, even though it was years and years ago!  :)
It looks like it is going to be another perfect day and I will again sing His praises!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 15:16 ~ A simple life in the Fear-of-GOD is better than a rich life with a ton of headaches.  #wisdomfromTheMessage

Short and sweet!  Be satisfied with what you have and you will be happier.  I would not trade anything for the life I have with Jesus.  God has blessed me beyond my wildest imagination and HE continues to take care of me and the kids and my family and my friends.  I stand amazed!  (I think that is a song!)
Am I saying that you won't have headaches from time to time?  Absolutely not!  We live in a sin filled world and we are faced with every temptation, but we know that HE is standing with us and carrying us through whatever comes our way.  Remember the first few verses of James?  "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."  James 1:2,3

Let's shine for Him today!
Have a great Friday!

Love and prayers,

Thursday, May 16th - Proverbs 13:6-10

Good Morning!

The sunrise was/is so interesting this morning, almost stealth in saying "Am I coming out this morning or not."  Either way, it is beautiful outside and the temperature is perfect!  I was walking the dog and listening to the birds and thinking, "This is the day that God has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it!"  Happy Thursday!

Lisa's tweet:  LMRMinistries:  Proverbs 13:6-10 ~ What strikes me here is how important it is not to put a face on.  Be real ~ play to an audience of One.  Look UP, not AROUND.

I agree with Lisa in that we should be who we are and not try to appear to be someone else.  Don't live behind a mask.  Don't be one person when you are among a certain group and another person when you are in church for example.  Be you!  Be Real!

Look at verse 6 - "Righteousness guards the man of integrity."  Are you a woman of integrity?  I have said it before, it is not easy, but we are never alone because Jesus walks beside us and the Holy Spirit dwells within us and God is watching over us.

I recently was talking to a friend and I used the phrase that Lisa used this morning, "Sing to the audience of One!"  I went on to discuss the fact that if we sing and play to the audience of One, we are being real and being who God created.  We are giving our all to Him and He delights in our offerings!

Go and have a great day and remember:  Look UP because HE is smiling at you!

Love and prayers,
Cheri Lynn

Wednesday, May 15th - Ephesians 2:1-10

Good Wednesday Morning!

How is everyone?  It has been awhile, but I have gotten things back in perspective and here we go.  :)  It has been an interesting season for me and lots of things happening in my life and changes, but God is faithful!  I have seen His Hand in everything and I praise Him for His love and His grace!  We serve an awesome God!

Lisa's tweet:  LMRMinistries:  Ephesians 2:1-10 ~ It's amazing how much time we spend chasing treasure that fades...and how little time pursuing the real treasure of God (vs 7).

Before Christ came into our lives, we were walking around in darkness.   We were dead in our sin and continued to follow the ways of the world.  Read verses 4 and 5 and think about the words:  great love - us - God - rich - mercy - alive - Christ - GRACE - saved!  "Because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved."
Wow!  God loved us so much and continues to love us.  It is like the most famous verse of the Bible - John 3:16.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

If you read on in the passage in Ephesians, we find that we were raised with Christ and will have eternal riches and have received grace and salvation as a gift from God.  We are God's workmanship!  Think about it:  God loved us so much that He created us to be His sons and daughters through His Son Jesus Christ - to do good works and show others His love and share the Great Message of His love with them, so that they too can become heirs and have the hope of eternal life with Him!
Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord!  God is good ALL the time - ALL the time God is good!

Have a wonderful day and know that I have never stopped and will continue to pray for you!  Enjoy the warmer spring weather!

Love and prayers!

Tuesday, February 5th - Proverbs 14:11; 16:5

Good evening!

Quite a day!  Touched base with an old friend tonight and we talked for hours!  It was fun to "catch-up" and just fellowship together.  It was quite a day!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 14:11; 16:5 ~ That awkward moment when you were supposed to let God handle your issue with someone, but you tried to do it yourself  #letitgo

God cares about what we do and how we do it!  He loves us so much that He continually gives us instructions as to how to do things and what to do to please Him.  He doesn't like those that are proud of heart and it says that they will be punished.  In His time!

It is so hard sometimes to just let it go and let God!  However, if you start with the small stuff and then begin to let Him handle everything, it is a little easier!  He always has our best interest in mind and does everything to protect us and to walk beside us - through the troubled waters and tough times.  It is easy to say, "Let me do it myself!" and then try and fall.  Let God take it from the beginning!  #letitgo

Have a good evening!

Monday, February 4th - 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28

Good evening!

I just got home not to long ago from basketball practice.  My team practices from 7pm to 8pm and then my son's team practices from 8pm to 9pm.  My girls played hard tonight and we had a good practice.  My son's practice was cut a little short as the boys were not giving their best and the coach had to have a talk about respect.  Respect for the team, for the coach, for the referees, and others.  I am not sure if the boys heard it or not, but it all made me ponder some things - Do I respect my co-workers, my boss, but most of all - do I respect my Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior?

Look at the scripture reading for today - RESPECT!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 ~ What if everyone lived out everything on this list everyday?  We'd never be worrying about hurt, pain or revenge.  #ReaditLiveit

Let me just list a few of the actions we are to take or live:  Respect co-workers, bosses and others; Live in peace; warn the idle and encourage the timid; help the weak; be patient; don't seek revenge, but be kind; be joyful; pray; give thanks; hold onto good; avoid evil; and pray for our spiritual leaders.

Quite a list, but all doable!  With the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives helping us every step of the way, we can do this!
As Lisa said:  #ReaditLiveit

Good night!

Sunday, February 3rd - Proverbs 12:7,13-14,19

Good Evening!

How has your SUPER weekend gone?  How was your SUPER Sunday?  Did you watch the SUPER Bowl?  My Sunday was super!  I had the privilege of singing in the choir this morning for three services; I got to hang with my family both at church and here at home; and got to spend some time in personal reflection!  It has been a great day!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 12:7,13-14,19 ~ Careful...It's so tempting when someone has done you wrong to get sucked in and not tell the whole truth about the situation

Do these verses remind you of any other passage we have referenced in the last few months?  How about James - 3:1-12 to be exact!  The words and talk of the wicked trap them, but the righteous flourish.  Truth endures forever and sets us free, but lies destroy.

Do you remember the story mentioned in Matthew 7:24-27 about the wise man and the foolish man?  The foolish man built his house upon the sand and the wise man built his on the rock.  The foolish man's house fell and the wise man's house stood firm.  Look at Proverbs 12:7 - "...the house of the righteous stands firm!"

Choose God's way!  It leads to victory and eternal life!

Have a great day tomorrow!  I hope it is just as SUPER as today was!

Saturday, February 2nd - Psalm 94

Good Evening!

What a day!  Started off at Eastview participating in Super Steps and what a start to the day.  Five hours of teaching, fellowship, and witnessing several baptisms - Praises be to the God Most High!!  The video that was shown at the end, tied it all together - "Here am I Lord - Send me!"

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 94 ~ You want revenge? Pray...not so much that God would "get them" for you, but that God would right the wrong that's been done.

God will avenge!  It will all happen in His time!  Remember that His time is not our time and He will repay them for their sins.  God will right the wrong that has been done!

Did you notice verses 16-19?  Those are verses of "Mission"!  Who will go for Me?  Who will take a stand for me against the evildoers?  God will support those that stand for Him!  He will bring joy to their soul!

Pray then that God would right the wrong that was done and might possibly use you to do so!  Are you ready?  "Here I am Lord, use me!"

Have a great evening!

Friday, February 1st - Proverbs 11:8,21

Good Evening!

Welcome to February!  When I got up this morning it was 2 degrees and felt like -18 degrees!  It is still cold outside, but the promise of warmer weather tomorrow, with a high of 31 degrees!  I still thank God for His many blessings in my life and give Him praise!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 11:8,21 ~ Do you think that doing things God's way will be boring and no fun? Great lie if you'll believe it and that lie will destroy your life

The story of good and evil - the good are rescued from trouble and go free, while the evil or wicked remain in trouble and will be punished.  God's way or the world's way?  We have a choice!

As I look at my life and I see how incredibly blessed I have been and I am at this very moment.  What a ride thus far....Please do not think that it has all been easy and I have just laughed and enjoyed every single moment because there have been many, many tough moments and things that I have had to endure.  I have sinned big time and asked forgiveness and moved on.  I know I have disappointed God many times, but He has always picked me up and hugged me when I have come and said I was sorry!  I can honestly say that my life has not been boring!
So many say that they need to be "perfect" before they begin their walk with God, as they are too dirty.  God accepts you as you are!!!  I was dirty and He made me clean!  We will never be perfect until that day when we go HOME and live with our Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior!

It is your choice - God's Way or the world's way?  Which will it be?  I have chosen God's Way and have never regretted a second.  He continues to bless me beyond my wildest dreams and He disciplines me like a father does his children, but I would not change a thing.  I will continue to walk with Him, serve Him and give Him all the praise until the day I go HOME!

Have a great weekend!

Thursday, January 31st - Deuteronomy 32:35

Good Evening!

Burrrrrrr.......  It is definitely winter again!  8
degrees outside and it feels like -13 degrees!!  Ugh!!  It is going to be a cold, cold couple of days, but then it promises to get a little warmer and back to more normal temps.  Yeah!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Deuteronomy 32:35 ~ Instead of worrying about how to "get" someone who got you...Let God take care of it.  What should you do?  #Romans12:17-21

This is a pretty powerful verse with a direct action that God will take for us!  "It is mine to avenge..."  Let God take care of us!  As Lisa said Tuesday evening, we need to let go and let God work justice for us.  It is not easy though, but doable!
Remember Proverbs 20:22 - "Do not say, "I'll pay you back (repay, finish, fulfill, to complete, to restore, to bring back to a previous, preferable state) for this wrong!" (evil)  Wait (actively choose to wait) for the Lord, and he will avenge (save, deliver, help) you.
Let go and let God!!!

Did you read Romans 12:17-21?  Don't repay evil for evil!  Do what is right!  Live at peace!  Do not take revenge!  Feed your enemy and give him drink!  They will not understand as you overcome evil with good!
Continue to meditate on these verse and let God speak to you and show you His way and who you might need to approach or pray about and for!

Reread Deut. 32:35  and notice the issue with time...  God's timing is perfect and yet it is not our time!  When you get a chance, read the passage in Ecclesiastes 3:1-14.  Notice the references to time!

There is a lot to think about and meditate upon here, but the underlying theme is:  Let go and Let God!!

Have a great evening!
Love y'all!

Wednesday, January 30, 2013 - Proverbs 3:31-33 & 10:6-7

Good Evening!

It has been a long day!  It has been a tough day too, but God is good!  I hope you have had a good day!  The weather sure has changed and it is only to get colder tomorrow!  Burr!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 3:31-32 ~ Wouldn't it be cool to be able to think like God?  Turns out, we can.  God speaks to those who listen and obey His ways.

God tells us what He likes and doesn't like in His Word.  He detests sin and the wicked.  Those that do not walk in His path or His ways.  He blesses the righteous and takes the upright or righteous into His confidence.
We know what we have to do and we also know that He is going to give us the strength to accomplish His ways!  We live by GRACE!  He takes all the broken pieces and makes them whole again!

Verses 6 and 7 of chapter 10 echo the same message as chapter 3.  Blessings come to the righteous and violence to the wicked.  As Lisa wrote and we read in His Word, God speaks to those who listen and obey His ways.

Walk the narrow path together with Him!  He provides everything we need.  Put your trust in Him!

Hope your day and evening were good! Talk to you tomorrow!
Blessings!

Sunday, January 27th - James 4:7-10

Good Morning!

"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome in the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise."  Psalm 47:1,2,6,7

It's Sunday - the Lord's Day!  Arise and sing His praises!  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!  Worship Him!  Give thanks for all that He has done!  Let His light shine through you!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: James 4:7-10 ~ Quit trying to stop sinning by telling yourself, "I'm not going to do that anymore." All you focus on is what you can't do.  Instead, fill your mind with what you get to do:  Live mess-free from sin, have more mental and emotional space for the good things in life

"Submit yourselves, then to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Come near to God and he will come near to you."  Proverbs 4:7-8a
Did you notice that it isn't written to "Resist the devil" first?  To me that would mean that we try and do it on our own.  It is clearly written to "Submit yourselves to God" which means put yourself in God's Hands and let Him provide the strength and determination to resist temptation.  "Come near to God and He will come near to you".  He wants to share every moment of your life with you and He wants to be near you, helping with each and every part of your day/night.  He desires to walk each step with you!

I read a tweet yesterday from a very dear friend and she said:  "It's never been about the smallness of your performance.  It's always been about the bigness of His grace."  God's grace!
Look at verse 10:  "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."  Wow!

We cannot do it on our own, we need Him!  Spend more time with Him this week!  Memorize His word and lean on Him.  Submit - Come near - Humble yourself before Him!

Have a great day and week!  I hope to see some of you at church this morning!

Saturday, January 26th - Proverbs 26:2 and 28:5

Good Afternoon!

Have you ever had one of those days when you just wanted to lay around and do nothing?  That has been my day thus far, even though I have done laundry and fixed breakfast for the kids and caught up on some "stuff".  The kids actually slept in this morning until almost 9:30!  Late night last night!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 26:2, 28:5 ~ Ever have someone talk smack about you and it wasn't true?  Did you go off defending yourself?  Usually makes it worse  #LetGodDefend

It is really hard sometimes (most all the time) when you hear someone saying something about you that isn't true, or if you are blamed for something that you didn't do.  What do you do in those kinds of situations?
My first reaction is to defend myself and argue with the person that I didn't do it or I am not to blame!  However, that is not the right action or attitude!  It is better to not say anything and the truth will come out and be made known.

As verse 2 of chapter 26 notes:  "an undeserved curse does not come to rest".  In other words, it will not be remembered or even known by many.  God is our defender and He has our best interest in mind!  He cares and He protects.  We just have to get out of the way and let Him do His thing!  He has our back!  He walks with us every step of the way and everyday!

As Lisa wrote:  #LetGodDefend!

Have a great day everyone!

Thursday, January 24th - Proverbs 17:20

Good Evening!

Sorry I am later today, but it has been one very busy day.  I have one at home with strep throat and another one that is feeling left out!  Thank you to a great friend and sister that came and stayed with the kids tonight for a little while so I could attend an appreciation meeting.  It was just what I needed - to be with friends and good Christian leaders and be encouraged.  It was a great evening.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 17:20 ~ The most hateful weapon in the world isn't a gun; it's the mouth of a person who isn't letting God speak thru him/her #knockitoff

Remember how we have talked before that as you are in your heart - that will come from your mouth.  Your words and actions reflect your heart.  Remember how in James it says the tongue is like a fire?  We can really hurt, wound and even kill with our mouths/tongues.  Is that what we want to do?

When we let God speak through us, others see Him and not us!  They see what He is like and how He cares for every little detail of our lives!  Don't you want others to see Jesus in you?  I do!!  I strive and pray each day that others will see Jesus and not me!  It is not easy, but He has not asked us to walk alone!!!

Will you take the challenge and try to praise Him in every circumstance; pray for your friends at work, pray for your friends outside of work, pray for your church family; pray that others see Jesus and not you and pray that your every word, action and thought reflects Him.

I will talk at you tomorrow!
Love y'all!

Wednesday, January 23rd - 1 Corinthians 10:13

Good Morning!

I think we are supposed to have a heat wave today and get up to around 30 degrees!  Yeah!  Spring is on its way!  (smile)  I don't know about you, but I am just not a fan of this cold weather!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Corinthians 10:13 ~ Everyone gets tempted to sin.  We all sin at times.  When temptation comes, pray then look for God's "escape route" and take it!

I completely agree with Lisa's tweet today.  All of us sin and usually on a daily basis.  The temptations are everywhere!  However, God is faithful and provides a way out or as Lisa wrote - an escape route!

It is much easier to identify the temptation and the escape route if we are walking daily with Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him.  Spending time in the Word and studying on a daily basis is very helpful.  How are you doing with daily walk?  Reading, memorizing and knowing His Word makes our daily walk easier.

I am praying for y'all!  Have a great day and stay warm!

Thursday, January 17th - Matthew 7:7-8

Good Evening GEMS!

Hope you have had a good day!  It is a little chilly outside, but suppose to warm up tomorrow - in the 40's I hear!  Yeah!  One more day and we start the weekend - a long weekend as the kids don't have school Monday or Tuesday!!  I don't ever remember getting all these days off school.  The kids are looking forward to being home though!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Matthew 7:7-8 ~ Seeking God isn't a "one and done".  If you have asked God to guide you, He may want you to keep asking before He answers.  Every prayer shapes you

I love these verses.  We know that God listens and HE provides for our every need.  We are truly blessed!  When was the last time you asked - you sought - and/or you knocked?  We can come to God anytime and He listens and He answers.  It may not always be the answer we desire, but an answer come.  Sometimes it may be a day or so, of even months, but He answers!  Just as He answers our prayers as we ask and we find something special as we seek ad most of all the door opens as we knock.  Let's grab on to each other and walk this life together as we ask - seek - knock!

Talk to you tomorrow!
Have a great evening!

Wednesday, January 16th - Proverbs 10:8 and 12:13-14

Good Evening!

I am back!  Happy New Year!  I am sorry I was gone for awhile, but needed to take some time away with family over the holidays, and time for me - a time of self-examination, setting priorities, and spending time with my God and Savior!  I missed y'all and "talking" to you daily, but was blessed beyond measure!
Hope y'all had great Holidays and have started the New Year - 2013 with renewed focus and passion to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to be a fearless follower of Christ whose ridiculous love and dangerous witness are irresistible.
I love y'all and I am honored and privileged to serve with you this year and until our Savior returns to take us HOME!

Now, let's study together!  Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 12:13-14 ~ The words you let out of your mouth are the sound of what's in your heart.  Pray for a clean heart (Psalm 51:10) ~ Speak clean words

What a great night we had at GEMS last night!  It was awesome to see everyone again and to fellowship with each other and to hear God's truth as Lisa shared.  Wow!  Is your life a mess right now?  Have you just come through a mess?  Have you taken responsibility?
Over the next two weeks we are going to address some of these things and give you encouragement and scriptures to help you along your daily walk with Him!

This is where it starts many times - with words!  We have talked before about the tongue and how it can get us into trouble.  As we spend more time in the Word, we begin to reflect His ways and His truth in our conversation, in our actions, and in our walk!  We speak clean words!
Spending time in the Word of God and having a personal relationship with Him is KEY!  Accepting responsibility is hard, but rewarding at the same time.  Good comes to those that speak truth and clean words!

Let's walk this road together and hold each other accountable!  Jesus asks us to share each other's burdens, but also the joys and celebrations.  We are here for you as the GEMS Leadership, but most of all as your sisters in Christ!  Email us, call us or contact us and we will pray for you and with you.

I love y'all!
