Saturday, December 31st - Isaiah 12:2

Good Morning!

Welcome to the last day of December and the last day of 2011!  Has it been a good year for you?  What would you change if you had the opportunity?
I am looking forward to spending some time tonight with some friends and ringing the New Year in early (10:00pm) with a communion service.  It should be fun and what better way to start the New Year than remembering my Lord and Savior gathered around His Table - the bread representing His Body that was broken for us and the juice, representing His blood that was shed!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Isaiah 12:2 - The Lord gives you everything you need to do life:  strength, a "new song" when you are worn out - and most of all - eternal life.

"Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation."  Isaiah 12:2

Trust and not be afraid - HE is my strength and my song!  Amen!  I have to admit there are many times I try to do it on my own, but I always run back to Him and find the strength to carry on and the joy I have in Him!

Have a Happy and safe New Year's Eve!

Friday, December 30th - Isaiah 45:5-7

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Isaiah 45:5-7:  God gives strength to those He chooses, even before they have the right mind to acknowledge that He is the Lord!

"I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.  I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me.  I am the Lord, and there is no other.  I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things."  Isaiah 45:5-7

We serve the one and only true God!  There is no other!  He is the great Creator!   ALL things were made by Him!  We serve an AWESOME God!

Thursday, December 29th - Ephesians 1:3-14

Good Morning!

Back to work today!  The kids are going to be together today and are loving that idea!  I am pretty tired, but I think it is just the "let down" of all the happenings this week!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Ephesians 1:3-14 - We have forgiveness through His blood, redemption for all our mistakes, and we - who love Christ - are chosen.  What an amazing God.

I know what the word adoption means!  Many of you do too!  I am so very thankful and grateful that God chose me and I am adopted into His family as a daughter.
My kids are the most precious gifts that I have ever received.  I love them so much, but I do love Jesus more!  Both of my children have asked Jesus into their hearts and Nathaniel has been baptized as an outward sign of his commitment.
Both of them are terrific prayers and I am in awe at times at the prayers they say!  Nathaniel has always prayed like an adult, but Derlani has watched and learned and she is doing the same thing.  They are deep!
I pray daily that I will be the Mom that I need to be to raise them as a man and woman of God!  May they see Jesus shining through me as we do life together!

We are forgiven and we have redemption through Jesus Christ!  We are CHOSEN!  Hallelujah and Praise the Lord!  I will sing His praises forever!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 28th - Psalm 4:1-3

Good Evening,

It is good to be home!  We had an uneventful drive back and return with new energy and excitement for the New Year!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 4:1-3: We all call out to God at times.  We need to know that because God has chosen us, He sees, He hears and He answers when we call.

Isn't it good to know that God is watching us and that He sees and hears us when we call?  I love to talk to Him and ask for His guidance as I try and walk according to His ways.  He is there for us - at all times!

Call to Him and He will answer!

Tuesday, December 27th - 1 John 1:7-9

Good Afternoon!

The weather is still nice here in Missouri and I am loving this vacation.  It has been good just to spend time with my folks.  We will head back tomorrow morning.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 John 1:7-9: When we confess our sins, He forgives.  No matter what, we are forgiven.  No, it's not too good to be true - it's so God.

Verse 7 of this passage was a chorus I sang in college (Johnson Bible College) and we did it like a round.  It was one of our favorites and we did it many a night at dorm devotions.  Hearing all the girls sing in parts and with the love of Jesus in their voices was amazing.  We truly felt the fellowship of Christian sisters!

If we confess our sins we ARE forgiven and that is God!  There was a saying when I was in High School that went like this:  "God said it - I believe it - that settles it!"  That is true of His forgiveness!

Have a great evening!

Monday, December 26th - John 1:29-34

Good Morning!

It was a bit lat getting up this morning.  We had such a great day yesterday and I just let the kids sleep this morning.  I love being down here with my folks as my Dad and I get up early and have coffee together and just talk.  Great times and memories!
My sister and her family left for Florida today and will get there sometime tomorrow.  The kids and I will head back to Illinois Wednesday!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: John 1:29-34 - Jesus is the "Lamb" because He sacrificed Himself on the cross by shedding His blood to forgive our sins.  Believe; live for Him.

Jesus is referred to as the "Lamb" of God as He gave himself as a sacrifice for us.  He is also called the Great Shepherd who takes care of His flock.
The tears roll as I think and watch Jesus on the Cross of Calvary through the movie, "The Passion".  As I watch the torture and the beatings He took for me, I am moved to tears.  I don't deserve that love, but He gives it freely!  It was all a part of God's plan - that He (Jesus) would shed His blood to cover and forgive my sins and yours.  That is GRACE!

Stop and re-read the passage for today - the "Lamb" of God who is the Son of God!

Have a good day!

Sunday. December 25th - Merry CHRISTmas!

Merry CHRISTmas!

What a day!  It was a little strange not going to church today, but last night was awesome.  We celebrated with the family today and it has been a great day!  We have laughed and cried and prayed together.  It has been wonderful!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Luke 1:26-38, Matthew 1:18-24, Luke 2:1-20 - The Christmas Story.  Jesus came to earth for the salvation of all in a way that only God could do.

It has been our family tradition to read the Christmas Story on Christmas Eve, even if we had attended a Christmas Eve service.  Just to listen as my Dad reads stirs up so many emotions.  I look at the story and can't believe that God loved us and loves us that much.

I read a couple of quotes that really brought it home today.  The first was from Max Lucado and he said, "Happy Birthday Jesus.  If only we'd known, Your manger was a Throne.  Come soon, dear King.  Come soon to take us home."
The second was a quote from Greg Laurie: "History swings on the hinge of the door of a Stable in Bethlehem!"

Wow!  It was all God's Plan and the world was changed forever!  His Plan of Salvation was put in motion.  Have you ever wondered what Mary and Joseph's conversation might have been that night at the delivery of the King?
We used to listen to a record (yes I am that old!) called, "The Night the Animals Talked".  The Christmas Story was told from their point of view and it was wonderful.  All the animals knew He was the King and they gathered close to keep Him warm.

"Away in a manger, no crib for a bed;  the little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.
The stars in the sky looked down where He lay; the little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay."

Enjoy the rest of your Christmas Day!

Saturday, December 24th - additional post

Good evening!

I am just so full of joy and love this evening.  We got home from the candlelight Christmas Eve service and my heart is overflowing!  It was a great time with family and friends in the presence of God Almighty!

I had the privilege and honor to sing for the services and loved lifting my voice in praise.  I sang "O Holy Night" and "We Shall Behold Him".  It was so moving to see all the candle lights and glowing faces as I sang the last one and thought of the time when He - Jesus - will come back and take us HOME forever!

I had taken the accompaniment tape for "Come On and Ring Those Bells" which our family has sung together for years.  My Dad ended the service by telling the congregation that we were going to sing that chorus and that I would lead in the verses.  He asked if anyone knew it and my family raised their hands and the church song leader.
(I had kept in mind our challenge for the day in doing good and sharing with others.)  I turned around and asked Jeremy (song leader) if he really knew the song and he responded he did.  I said, "Come on and sing it with me Jeremy!"  You would have thought I had given him a thousand dollars!
We sang that song and had a great time.  I watched Jeremy as we sang and the smile that was on his face - Jesus was shining so bright through His servant!  Jeremy probably thanked me ten times for letting him sing with me.  It was my honor!  He is a great kid!

Well, I need to go and get ready for tomorrow and "Santa".

Remember: "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."  Luke 2:11

Merry CHRISTmas!

Saturday, December 24th - Hebrews 13:16

Good Morning!

I am excited about this evening as I get to sing for the Christmas Eve service where my Dad is preaching.  It is always a pleasure and honor to sing for God's people.  I love to sing and praise my Heavenly Father and will continue as long as I am able.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Hebrews 13:16 - A small taste of some things that delight God:  Do good, share with others.  Today, look for special ways to do these things.

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."  Hebrews 13:16

Isn't it amazing to see all those who are doing good and sharing this time of year.  It just seems like there are a few more smiles and giving hearts at this time of year.  I pray that I am that way 365 days a year!  I want nothing more than to please my God.

Will you look for ways to do that today?  Serve those around you with joy!  Wish people a Merry CHRISTmas and not Happy Holidays!  Remember, we know the true meaning and reason for the season - JESUS!

Merry CHRISTmas GEMS!

Friday, December 23rd - Proverbs 11:20

Good Morning!

Another beautiful day here in Missouri!  It is hard to beleive that it is two days before Christmas and it is in the high 50's.  Wow!  Guess there won't be a "white" Christmas here this year!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 11:20: God cannot stand those who avoid doing things His way.  He delights in those who try and live a life that is pleasing to Him.

It is not always easy to walk in His ways, but it definitely is rewarding.  He delights in us as we try and live the life that He desires.  He has given us everything we need to live the life pleasing to Him.  We have His Word to read, we have an open communication line - prayer, and He has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us each step of the way.

Let's live so that He takes delight in us!

Thursday, December 22nd - 2 Samuel 22:18-27

Good Afternoon!

My schedule is a little off and so I am not real sure when I will write the blogs.  I am really on vacation and so I am taking it easy and soaking in the beauty of His creation down here at Lake of the Ozarks!  The temperatures are quite warm for this time of year as well and so we are taking advantage of that!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 2 Samuel 22:18-27: Vs 20 - God rescues and delivers because He takes delight in us.  We bring God delight by living according to His ways.

I love this passage of scripture.  God is always there to take care of me.  If I live according to His ways, He is faithful and true to protect me and help me through any situation.

Have a great evening!

Wednesday, December 21st - Psalm 37:23-24

Good Afternoon!

The kids and I came down to my folks in Missouri today and will be here for the Christmas Holidays.  It is always great to spend special times with family.  My folks were glad to see the kids and me too!  :o)

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 37:23-24 - If God takes delight in you, He will make your way strong - you won't fall.  Are you living a life God would delight in?

"The Lord delights in the way of the man whose steps he has made firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."  Psalm 37:23-24

As Christians and having a personal relationship with Christ, we know that God is always present and will help us through any situation.  Yes, we may stumble at times, but He is always there to help us get up and continue!  He never said it would be easy, but it is totally worth it!  The retirement plan for God's work is out of this world - ETERNITY in heaven!!

Have a great evening!

Tuesday, December 20th - Philippians 3:12-14

Good Morning!

It's Tuesday and hopefully we will see y'all tonight at GEMS!  Can't wait!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Philippians 3:12-14: Relationships take time to develop fully. Your relationship w/ God will continue to grow/evolve - He doesn't expect you to be perfect.

Relationships are tough at times as we want them to grow and flourish quickly, but they all take time.  Our relationship with God is not much different as Lisa said and as our scripture indicates.  Even Paul said that he was not yet "there" and made perfect, but he pressed on each day for that which Christ promised.  We need to do the same!

We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and begin a relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit - our helper.  We begin to grow and our relationship begins to grow.  As we read His Word, fellowship with our brothers and sisters in church, share and talk in Small Groups, spend more and more time in prayer (conversation with God), our relationship becomes stronger and we press on toward the prize that He promised - eternal life with Him - perfection.

We need to come to Him, knowing He doesn't expect perfection from the start.  We, as Paul, "need to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Let's press on!  Have a great day and I will see you tonight!  :o)

Monday, December 19th - 1 Peter 1:3-9

Good evening!

I apologize for being later with the post today, but it is getting kind of crazy around here.  We are taking off Wednesday morning at 6:30 or so and I still have a lot to get done.  Oh well!  :o)

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Peter 1:3-9: Joy - it's what we crave, but it's not found in the things of this world.  Stuff makes us happy for a minute, but joy never leaves.

These verses are packed full of awesome news.  It all starts with "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!"  Look at the descriptive words and story that unfolds:  "His great mercy" - "New birth" - "living hope" - "resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" - "an inheritance" - "never perish, spoil or fade" - "shielded by God's power" - "salvation ... revealed in the last time".
We have new life and living hope through the resurrection of Jesus and have been given an inheritance that will not perish, but is shielded by God and will be revealed in the last days - Jesus return!

The story continues in verses 6 through 9.  We can "rejoice" even though we suffer great "trials" so that our "faith" may be proved "genuine" and will result in "praise, glory  and honor" when Jesus is revealed.  We don't "see" Him, but we love Him and believe in Him and we are filled with an "Inexpressible and glorious" joy.  The "goal" of our faith - the "salvation" of our souls.  (paraphrase is mine as taken from the verses mentioned)

What better way to start our work week, knowing that we have inexpressible joy!  Be sure to let Him shine through you as you go about your work week and prepare to celebrate His birth in a few days.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Sunday, December 18th - James 4:7-10

Good Morning and Happy Lord's Day!

I hope you have all had a great start to your day!  Maybe I will see you at church.  I hope so!  Can you believe next Sunday is Christmas?  My kids and I will be down in Missouri with family!  It's going to be a great Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: James 4:7-10:Being in a relationship w/ God means we submit to His ways.  He is the King; we are blessed to be under His covering - Will you submit?

Submission - a. a legal agreement to submit to the decision of arbitrators    b. an act of submitting something (as for consideration), also something submitted (as a manuscript)       2.  the condition of being submissive, humble, or compliant     3. an act of submitting to the authority or control of another

When we are in a relationship with God we are in submission to Him.  We have agreed to submit to Him and most of us have expressed that outwardly through baptism.  We submit our lives to Him and do His work - sharing the Gospel wherever we may go.  We try daily to be submissive, humble and compliant.  We submit to God, the Ultimate and the Great I AM!!

I love verse 10:  "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up."

Have a great day!
Blessings!

Thursday, December 15th - Psalm 89:14-18

Good Morning!

I was out with the puppy this morning at 4:55am and it was really warm.  I checked the weather temperatures for today and I was out at the warmest part of today - 53 degrees!  It is suppose to continue to drop all day today and be in the high 20's tonight!  Burr!  Welcome back Winter!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 89:14-18: Walking in the light of His presence - no more victorious way to live.  No matter what goes on in your world - His light gives joy.

There is no better way to walk, than in His light!  We rejoice and sing His praises!  We have joy!  His love surrounds us and He is faithful.

What better way to start the day than with Him.  He is my joy and my King!  I praise Him with all that I am!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 14th - Psalm 89:5-8

Good Morning!

Praises be lifted up to the Lord God Almighty!  He has given us another day to sing His praise and to share His Gospel!
Father God, I thank you for this day and for the many blessings you have given.  I thank You for my children and for their faith in You and how they are bright lights that shine for You wherever they might be.  I love You Lord, and I will sing Your praise with all that I am.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 89:5-8: Look Who loves you! This amazing God - there is none like Him - He is above everything - nothing compares to Him - and He loves you!

We serve and are the children of a Mighty God.  Nothing can compare to Him!  He is faithful; He is greatly feared; He is awesome; and He is the one and only, true God!  His love is everlasting and He loves me and you and all His children!  He is love!

Have a great day and know that you are loved by God and by us. :o)

Tuesday, December 13th - Psalm 145:17-21

Good Morning!

Can you believe this weather?  I went out at 5:00am to let the puppy out and it felt like Spring.  I love it!  Yes, I would still like snow for Christmas, but I would prefer it comes after I get to Missouri!  :o)

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 145:17-21: He is near to those who call on Him - to those who are in awe of (fear) Him.  This psalm begins and ends with praise - give it up!

God loves us!  He made us and He loves us!

Look at verse 19:  "He fulfills the desires of those who fear him, he hears their cry and saves them."  Wow!  As Lisa mentioned in her tweet, the "fear" mentioned here is to be in awe of Him.  God takes care of us!

I love the fact that the first and last verse are PRAISE.  Let's praise the Lord today in all that we do and say!  Praises to His name!

Have a great day!

Monday, December 12th - Psalm 145:8-16

Good Morning!

We started our week with giving praise to our Heavenly Father and today we start our work week doing the same.  Praise Him for who He is and what He has done for you.

Lisa's Tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 145:8-16: As you pour into God, look how much He pours into you!  He doesn't just satisfy w/ things; it's w/ the knowledge that He loves you.

I love this Psalm.  It is full of praise and the attributes of our God - the one and only True God!  Just in the few verses here, look at the many attributes of God:  abundant goodness, righteous, gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, rich in love, good to all, mighty, glorious, everlasting, faithful, powerful and provider of everything.
Wow, that is just a list from the verses we read today.
Read the whole Psalm and see what else you can find.  Think about all that He is and all that He gives to us - to you!  Pray that others may see some of His attributes through you.

Have a great Monday!

Sunday, December 11th - Psalm 145:1-7

Good Morning!

Last night was awesome as we gave our last Christmas praise offering through our Christmas concert.  The church was full yet again and we all enjoyed praising our Father for His great gift so many years ago.  Jesus came as a baby and grew and walked among us and then gave His life for us, only to rise and return to the Father and wait for the day when He will come back and take us HOME.  I praise His Name for as long as I have breath to do so!  I am so happy to be a child of the King!

It is a second service morning for us as we went out after the concert and didn't get home until very late.  We had a great time with friends though and it was very relaxing and refreshing.  We were already on a high and it just continued!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 145:1-7: Relationships require that we build the other person up and look for ways to be loving.  Today, extol (build up) God through praise!

I love to praise the Lord through song, through my guitar playing, through reading His Word... I just love to praise!  These last two nights were awesome in that all of our practice and rehearsals came together to give Him praise!  We were able to share that with thousands of people and help lead them in praise as well!

These first seven verses of Psalm 145 are full of praise.  They describe our God!  "Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise!"

Praise Him today and thank Him for all His good deeds.

Saturday, December 10th - Psalm 69:13-18

Good afternoon!

Sorry I am a little later today, but  last night was amazing and exhausting and a first for me.  We have practiced all week, with many late nights, for the concert last night and it was all worth every minute.  It was such a pleasure and honor to praise the Lord and share our gifts with so many.  The church was full and we all worshipped together in praise!
Yes, I am exhausted, but a good tired!  I didn't sleep real well last night as I was missing one of my children.  My daughter went to her first sleep over!  She had a wonderful time and Mommy missed her terribly!  I am sure there will be many more rough nights for Mommy and exciting nights for daughter!  :o)

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Psalm 69:13-18: The guy writing this is in distress - but He knows God so well...he knows he can call on Him.  What's your first response to fear?

Do you know that you can call on God anytime -  day or night?  He is always there!  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  He has the answers to all your questions.  He is our Father and He provides and cares for us!  Whether in times of joy, times of sadness, or times of distress - we can call on Him and He will answer!

To answer Lisa's question - I call on my Heavenly Father, my Lord and Savior!

Have a great afternoon and evening!

Friday, December 9th - Hebrews 4:16

Good Morning!

Happy Friday!  I don't know about you, but this has been a long week!  However, tonight we will present the first of two Christmas concerts and give all the glory to God!  I love singing songs of praise, but Christmas songs are really special!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Hebrews 4:16 - Even though God is sovereign & holy, He still invites us to approach His "throne".  Be grateful that He counts you worthy!

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."  Hebrews 4:16

Not only does He invite us to approach His throne, but we are to approach with confidence.  We can come to His Throne with confidence that He will listen and hear us and we will find grace and mercy.

God is good all the time - ALL the time God is good!

Have a great Friday!

Thursday, December 8th - 1 Corinthians 12:21

Good Evening,

I apologize for being late today, but my kids and I have had some late nights. You have been in my prayers though and I hope you are looking forward to another great weekend of fun and time to worship together on Sunday!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Corinthians 12:21-27: God created you to be part of His family - there are certain things that He needs only you to do in the world.  What's your part?

Isn't the human body amazing?  God created Adam and Eve and He created them in His Image.  Each part of the body has a purpose and it all works together so that we might live!  The analogy here to the body of the Church is so important.  We each have our own responsibility or thing to do in God's Kingdom.  Not one part is more important than another and we are ONE body!
Look at verse 26:  "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."  Just think what the church could do if we really took hold of this verse and practiced it?  Encouragement - support - praying together - crying together - praising God together - serving together - sharing the Gospel together - being ONE body and giving the glory to God.

"Now, you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."  1 Corinthians 12:27

Have a great night!

Wednesday, December 7th - John 1:12-13

Good Morning!

Late night last night and early morning!  It is going to be a long week!  However, I thank God that He gives me strength and rest.  God is good!!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: John 1:12-13 - You are God's child. No one stands between you and this perfect Father who loves you. Lord - today - please show me how You love me.

We are children of God!!  God is our Father!  He loves us so much and He gave His son, so that we might have the hope of eternal life and live with Him forever!  I saw a poster one time that had a picture of Christ on the cross and the caption read:  "I love you this much" - and He stretched out His arms and gave His life for me."  Thank goodness it didn't stop there as He arose from the grave and conquered death and we can now live with Him forever!

That IS love!  I echo the prayer that Lisa wrote:  "Lord - today - please show me how You love me."  Some days and times, we just need to be reminded.

Tuesday, December 6th - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Good Morning!

I will add a little more to this later today, but wanted to at least get Lisa's tweet and the verse posted.

The verse today is the shortest verse in the Bible and yet very powerful!  "Pray continually."  1 Thessalonians 5:17  Some translations have it as - "Pray without ceasing."

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Do you want to be filled and never thirst? Then, pray and ask. Sounds too simple, but it's the most important Christian step.

Have a great day!

What a great day it has been!  Did y'all enjoy GEMS?  I missed you, but I needed to go to choir practice and get ready for the concert this weekend.  I did manage to see several of you and get some hugs!  :o)

So did you get the verse for today memorized?  :o)  "Pray continually."  1 Thessalonians 5:17  What does it mean?  Is this even possible?  I truly think that as Christians we can strive to do this, as it means to always be in an attitude of prayer. You think of something that you need to pray about and you do; you pass by a person and you "pray" for them; your working away and thoughts of an upcoming event come to mind and you are praying.  It can be words, thoughts, or prayers, but you are in an attitude of prayer always.  Stop and think as you go through your day tomorrow.  Are you "praying continually"?

Wishing you a good night's rest.

Sunday, December 4th - Psalm 119:176

Happy Sunday Morning!

It's going to be a great day!  Arise and sing for our God is worthy of our praise!

"I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commandments."  Psalm 119:176

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Do you ever wander away from the love, grace and living water the Lord gave to you?  Ask God to come and "get" you.

It is tough sometimes and we don't always understand and we can "wander" away.  God cares about His sheep and He will find you, if you but ask!  To live in His love and grace is the best place to be and we know that is the truth.  Don't hesitate - ask God to come and "get" you!

Have a great day!

Saturday, December 3rd - Colossians 3:1-10

Good Evening!

Wow!  What a blessed day!  To witness God's Church serving together as one body to those that were/are in need was amazing today!  Lives were changed!  Hallelujah and praise the Lord!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Colossians 3:1-10: Heart check - are you growing in putting off the evil things in your life? Turn away from sin. Pray; ask the Holy Spirit to fill you.

We are new creatures in Christ and we put off the old and put on the new!  Verses 9 and 10 say it well:  "Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator."

I was witness to lives being changed today, including mine.  We were being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator!  What an amazing day at IMAGINE!  We served lots of people/families, relationships were formed, tears were shed, hugs were given, laughter could be heard around every corner, prayers were offered and lifted up, lots of food - coats - and toys were given, and it was all done in the name of Jesus and to the glory of God!

I was so honored and humbled to serve today along side my brothers and sisters in Christ.  I lift my voice and my arms in praise for what HE has done!  To God be the glory!!

Friday, December 2nd - Matthew 18:12-13

Happy Friday!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Matt. 18:12-13: Again - Let's pray for the lost who have no clue that Jesus can fill them.  Look forward to celebrating when they come to Christ.

God cares about each one of His creation.  He has told us to go and share His Gospel with everyone we meet and to tell them what a difference He can make in their lives.  He CAN fill them with love and grace.

Do you remember when you asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior?  I wanted to shout it from the mountain top and run and tell everyone I knew.  We need to pray for and remember the lost and share the Gospel on a personal level.  Share with that one about how your life has been changed by the one and only True God!  Tell them how His Son came and gave His life for them and that on the 3rd day arose to conquer death and give us the hope of Eternal Life.  Continue to share and express the comfort and peace you have because of the Holy Spirit in your life.  Get excited and look to the day when you can celebrate with the Church that one more has come to Christ!

Get excited!  Be dangerous and share the Gospel with someone today!

Thursday, December 1st - Proverbs 18:4, 10:11, Galatians 5:22-23

Good Morning!

December 1st - the first day of the last month of 2011!  Can you believe how fast this year has gone?  It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year of 2011!  Wow!

"The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook!"  Proverbs 18:4  "The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked."  Proverbs 10:11  "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law."  Galatians 5:22-23

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: Proverbs 18:4, 10:11, Galatians 5:22-23: When you have the holy Spirit in you, you should see these types of things coming from you.

Do you have a fountain of life flowing from your mouth?  What about the Fruit of the Spirit?  We all have these, but do we demonstrate them on a daily basis?  Do we share the love of Christ with others?
Look at the different parts of the Fruit we are to bear:
    - Love, an unconditional love that sees no boundaries, God's love
    - Joy, inner joy that is always present, even when we are feeling sad or down
    - Peace, a peace that passes all understanding, a calm
    - Patience, knowing that Christ will return to take His people HOME
    - Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control

Wow!  What wonderful gifts and attributes we have been given and need to let shine in our lives.  Will you shine today?

Happy Thursday!
