Thursday, August 30th - 1 Samuel 1:9-18

Good Morning!

Lisa's tweet: LMRMinistries: 1 Samuel 1:9-18 ~ Hannah prayed for God to help her.  I love verse 18 - she prayed, then she was relieved.  What is your response to bad times in your life?

Hannah turned to God when there was no where else to go.  She poured out her soul to Him and He listened.  Eli, the priest thought she was drunk, but when she told him what she was doing he understood and encouraged her.  Eli said that she should go in peace and may the God of Israel grant her request.Eli did not know what she had prayed or asked of God.  Hannah had asked for a son and in turn would give the child back to the Lord for His service for all the days of his life.
After Eli encourages her, Hannah went and ate and was no longer downcast.  She had poured out her soul to God and had been relieved of her misery.

Lisa asks the question:  What is your response to bad times in your life?  How do you react to things gone wrong or not the way you had planned?  I know someone that approaches everything with a smile.  Her world can be crumbling down around her and she will still find the slightest glimmer of hope and joy.  No, she is not perfect, but I like her approach to life's bad times.  God has taken me through tougher things and He will not forget me or let me down this time!  What a response!

How will you respond the next time you encounter less than ideal circumstances?  Will you pray and praise Him or swim in your disappointment and misery?  Your choice!!

Have a fantastic day!
